Cholesterol Testing: A simple finger stick blod test determines your entire cholesterol picture, including not only the total cholesterol, but also the HDL (good), LDL (bad) and triglycerides. High cholesterol, which has no symptoms, is a leading risk factor for heart disease, America's Number One Killer. You'll get immediate results, plus explanation from our expert staff. When indicated, we'll suggest ways to improve your heart disease risk.

Diabetes Testing and Education: A finger sample indicates your blod glucose. We also test hemoglobin A1c, sometimes called blood glucose with memory, as it indicates your average blood glucose for the past 3 months. Both tests are important in establishing your risk for diabetes, as well as monitoring progress with lifestyle or drug therapy. Our diabetes experts will explain your results. If you have diabetes, we offer a full 12-session diabetes education series designed to help you control diabetes and avoid its long-term complications.

Diabetes Blood Glucose Monitor Results Analysis: We can transfer your blood glucose readings to our computer and print out a detailed analysis, which makes interpretation of your results easy and improves your control. We'll discuss your results and offer suggestions on diet, exercise, and other ways to keep you in control.

Cardiovision Heart Disease Risk Analysis: High blood pressure leads to heart attacks and strokes, but having normal blood pressure alone is not enough; we also screen your arterial elasticity, which indicates hardening of the arteries. Compounded Prescriptions: Our new state-of-the-art compounding lab allows us to personalize medications just for you. No two persons are alike, but pharmaceutical manurfacturers pride dosages in only a few strengths, which often contain perservatives and fillers to which you can be allergic. People are not "one-size-fits-all." Neither should be your medicine. We can make creams and gels that eliminate the side effects of oral medications; capsules with unique dosage strengths not commercially available; individualized bio-identical hormone replacements; recreate products that used to work well for you but have been discontinued by the manufacturer for financial reasons; unique dosage forms such as lozenges, lollipops, and many others. ALT: Alt measures alanine aminotransferase, an enzyme produced by the liver. When the liver becomes damaged, ALT rises in the blood. This may be the result of "statin" medications taken to control cholesterol, certain drugs for diabetes (e.g. Actos, Avandia), large doses of acetaminophen (Tylenol), certain prescription antifungals (e.g. Nizoral, Lamisil, Sporonox), heavy alcohol use, or exposure to hepatitis B. Identifying slight modifications early allows taking steps to prevent further damage, before the liver becomes irreparably harmed.
